Vandal spotted... leaving pudu raya, with a cup of Milo Ice and Nasi Goreng Pataya”

Nomadic Hip Hopper and Cultural Entrepreneur, Jason Schadt has come a long way since he first hit the Malaysian Capital dropping his track “KL” under the alias of Vandal back in 2003. The self-proclaimed “Urban Camper” went on to release his debut album “The Nomadic Addict”, securing distribution through EMI and instantly became a house hold name. In 2010 a lot has changed, but much remains the same.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Jason aka Vandal has developed a certain synergy with Malaysia to become an official ambassador and pioneer of Hip Hop culture in the region. Now making KL his home, Vandal has immersed himself in a mission to practice, promote and share his vision with everyone he meets. The MoveMint arrives.

After launching his 2nd album “TROACO” in 2007 under the umbrella of Urban Camper Entertainment Vandal got together a collective in Indonesia to come out with Diplomats International. The group garnered much acclaim after being nominated for a JunkSounds Award 2008 and winning Best International Act 2008 at the VIMA awards and released “DiploDangerous”, a mixtape concept album. Out of pure genius, Vandal then went on to reinvent himself as much more than just an intrepid traveler and emcee, garnering a spot of the 2008 Juice Cool List and founding KL's first and only monthly Emcee Battle “Think You Got Skillz?”. TYGS has gone on to win awards, release a compilation CD and continues to provide a positive platform that contributes to the growth of Hip Hop talent in Malaysia.

Having shared the stage with Hip Hop's grandfather DJ Kool Herc, Vandal has also performed alongside DJ Cash Money, Blackalicious, The Herbalizer, The Roots and has rocked stages in Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Taiwan and Indonesia to name a few. Vandal has also hosted Heineken Green Room, Dig It All Festival and numerous other events in Malaysia. Outside of performing and hosting, Vandal's can be heard on Radio and TV commercials as a sought after Voice Over Talent.
Currently Vandal is working on a number of collaboration projects with producers from Belgium, Malaysia and Colombia. He is also setting the stage for The MoveMint to become an entertainment powerhouse in the ASEAN region though both commercial and community endeavors.
